Meet Coach D
About Danielle (A.k.a. Coach D)
Let's Get Determined.
Coach D spent 8 years in the military, is a former competitor in Thai Boxing, and now competes in powerlifting. She's a firm believer that when we face life's challenges, we're able to overcome them through support, grit, and determination.
D has navigated adversity firsthand — as a woman in a male-dominated career field and as a kid who grew up in the foster care system. "Adapt and Overcome" is the motto that has carried her through, and it's the foundation she brings to every client she works with.
And qualified? You bet. D has a B.S. in Exercise Science, a NASM-CPT, and a trauma-informed weightlifting certification.
What’s it Like training with D?
Danielle, The Powerlifter
Danielle has competed in powerlifting for years. It's where she tests limits, chases numbers, and keeps growing as an athlete. But competing was never really the point.
After some of life's hardest seasons, the barbell was how she found her way back to her own body. Not what it looked like. Just what it could do, and the slow realization that it could do more than she thought.
That's what she coaches toward.
Capability. Resilience. The kind of confidence that comes from actually knowing what you're made of, not being told.
Powerlifting has no age limit, no size requirement. Pick up the bar. Let’s go.
When Danielle isn't in the gym training clients or working out, she loves spending time with her wife Kara, her son Atlas, and their two dogs. She loves being outside with her little family — hiking, camping, cooking, and trying new foods and restaurants. Danielle is a big foodie.
She also loves singing, playing guitar, and writing music. One of her life goals is to write and record an album with Kara — Kara takes the lead on vocals while Danielle plays guitar. You should never be surprised to find a mini concert happening in their kitchen.
